A walk with 85mm

Taken on 04/01/11

Went for a test drive on my new 85mm. It’s a love/hate lens but i guess it just take sometime to get used to it. The lens is awesome sharp even at wide open, the f1.2 prove to be very useful for night shots but recompose can easily cause it to be OOF. Focusing speed is slower than normal lens but can live with it. Bokeh is dreamy just like 135mm f2. One thing i dun like about it is i can’t manual override the focusing ring without switching the manual/ auto AF switch.

The new beginning

Long Exposure at “Secret Garden”

Taken at 01/01/11 at “Secret Garden”

It was a awesome outing with my usual shooting kakis. We was suppose to shoot first sunrise for 2011

but didn’t manage to cos the sun direction was off and very cloudy. But still, it was a great outing with best company.

A great thanks to our driver Yongxian & Niko and Soon haur for bring us to his Secret Garden.

Hope everyone have a good year ahead. Happy New Year everyone ^ ^
